WASHINGTON (AP) -

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Republican U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin says he voted against a bill to provide emergency relief funding for Superstorm Sandy victims because it included no offsets to federal spending.

The $50.7 billion bill passed the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday night on a 241-180 vote.

Mullin issued a statement saying there were "noble and worthwhile causes" included in the bill - but that he could not support it.

Sandy roared through several states in late October and has been blamed for 140 deaths and billions of dollars in residential and business property damage. Much of the damages is in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
