A 41-year-old Shelby County man is being held without bond after a domestic violence dispute with a relative.

Shelby County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 100 block of Pickens Drive in Westover to investigate a domestic violence assault around 8:00 p.m. on Friday night. Once they arrived, they discovered two adult male relatives had been involved in a fight. One man had been slashed across the chest with a razorblade. Both involved in the incident were treated at the scene and transported to local hospitals for additional treatment and evaluation.

An investigator followed up on the assault, and after reviewing the circumstances, Barry Scott Vick, 41, was arrested. Vick is charged with Domestic Violence 1st degree and is being held without bond in the Shelby County Jail.

Joshua Henderson, 30, has been released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries.
