The Expo Center was packed Wednesday for the second night of the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals.
Five-time champion Sammy Swindell put himself in position to win number six. He won the number-four qualifying race and then went on to take the checkered flag in the A-Main.
That locks him in to Saturday's Championship race for the fifth straight year. He's finished second to his son Kevin Swindell the last two years.
Kevin has been the three-time Chili Bowl Champion.
Races continue Thursday at the Expo Center. Hot laps begin at 5:00pm. The races start at 6:00pm.
