Senior cornerback Demontre Hurst is set to play in the East-West Shrine game in St. Petersburg, FL. has accepted an invitation to play for the West in the annual East-West Shrine Game.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to play in the East-West Shrine Game," Hurst said. "I appreciate all of the support that I received from my coaches and teammates during my career at the University of Oklahoma, and will always be grateful for the chance to play in front of our great Sooners fans. I look forward to showcasing my skills in this all-star contest."
Hurst finished fourth on the team with 59 tackles and was second with nine pass breakups. In his career he played in 53 games with 40 starts and recorded 178 tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and two interceptions for 104 yards.
Hurst is the first Sooner to play in the East-West Shrine Game since Jonathon Nelson in 2011. He'll play for the West team.
