Bluff Park Art Show a top 10 event in AL

Hoover's Bluff Park Art Show has been around since 1963. The show has grown into one of the best in the southeast.

The Bluff Park Art Association celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013.

On Friday, it was announced the art show made the top ten list of events to see in 2013 by the Sweet Home Alabama tourism magazine. The announcement was made at Hoover city hall this morning.

City leaders and members of the Bluff Park Art Association were on hand.

Also, the logo for the 2013 edition of the art show was unveiled.

The juried fine arts show attracts the best artists in the southeast and beyond for a one-day celebration of artistic talent.

Beth Albright Johns, president of the Bluff Park Art Association says, "We promise to have fantastic art and community spirit there. We're going to have the logo that's behind us be on shirts that you can purchase and we just really want people to come out and enjoy the show."

The Bluff Park Art Show attracts 140 artists and draws tens of thousands of visitors. The 2013 Bluff Park Art Show is October 5.
