Three seniors on the Alabama football team spoke to the media following their arrival in Miami for the BCS National Championship showdown with top-ranked Notre Dame.

Center Barrett Jones, guard Chance Warmack and defensive lineman Damion Square talked about their final opponent of their college football careers and the experience of playing in South Beach.

Here's what they had to say:

Barrett Jones

On playing in multiple national championships…

"It's pretty special. It's something we try not to take for granted. People ask me all the time ‘do you get tired of playing in the national championship?', of course not. Every game is a little different and this going to be a big challenge for us. Notre Dame is a great team and we're excited. I can't wait to get there."

On recent BCS experience advantage over Notre Dame…

"I think that might be a little overplayed. Once you get on the field it's going to be about not necessarily who's the best team, it's going to be about who plays the better game that day. Certainly our coaches have been in these situations and have learned how to effectively prepare us for the national championship game. I think if there is an advantage that might be it."

On Coach Saban…

"I have a great relationship with Coach Saban. As you grow older you become more of a leader on the team your relationship changes with him. I've been very fortunate to see a softer side of him I guess. He actually has a great sense of humor, but most of all he really cares a lot about his players and I think that's what people need to know about him is how much he really cares about us."

On winning in the trenches…

"We put a lot of emphasis on winning the battle in the trenches. This game is no exception, whoever wins the battle in the trenches will probably win the game. It will be very important for us to establish a line of scrimmage up front."

On Notre Dame receiving more press…

"We don't really think like that. No offense to you guys, but we don't really care what you all say. We just want to win the game."

On Notre Dame after studying film…

"Well they're a very good defense. I tell you they're probably the most fundamentally sound defenses I've seen on film. [They're] very well coached, you can tell [and] they use their hands extremely well. They're just very technically sound. Other than that they just have very good players and when you combine those two things you can come up with a really good defense."

On Notre Dame's Manti Te'o…

"Manti is a great player and an even better guy. So certainly that'll be a big thing for us all night, trying to block a guy like that."

On staying focused while in South Beach…

"I don't think it'll be hard. I think a lot of our guys know that we're here for the national championship. And while this is going to be a fun trip, it's a business trip. We're not really here to have fun, we're here to win the game."

Chance Warmack

On first time in South Florida and South Beach….

"I'm really happy to be here, [my] first time in South Florida. I can't wait, I can't wait."

On national championship hype…

"It's just another game for us. We prepared like it's another game and we're focused on trying to be successful in this game. And that's all we came
here to do is to be successful."

On SEC trend…

"We don't focus on that. We just try to represent our program the best way we can and just prepare for this game and just be great and come out with a ‘W.'"

On Barrett…

He's like my brother; I was talking to him before I went to sleep on the plane. I'm just happy for him being back. He's practicing with us and he's doing a really good job right now.

On emotions when walking off plane…

"It's a blessing. It's a blessing to be here, it's a blessing to play for another championship. We're playing against some good opponents. I'm just happy to be here and my teammates are happy to be here."

Damion Square

On dealing with so much media coverage…

"I'm pretty used to it. These guys do a great job of preparing us for answering questions and things like that so it comes with the territory and I'm just proud to be in the situation."

On what it will take to beat Notre Dame…

"We have to go out and play Alabama football. That's the only thing we know how to do that's the only thing we can do. If we show up and play Alabama football we're good."

On his last game for Alabama…

"I'm trying to take it all in. I thought it would happen when I walked off the practice field today, knowing that it's my last practice in Tuscaloosa, but slowly but surely. I still have some things to do here at the University of Alabama so right now we're on a business trip."

On South Florida's reception of Coach Saban…

"He's a top notch guy, he'll handle it the right way. He's got the right people around him to handle that whole situation. That's all I know about it. I'm very aware."

On Notre Dame…

"It's a great organization; it's a great university. I got recruited by Notre Dame so I've been around their place and know all the tradition in their place and the pride in their program. I know those guys are going to come play for their community and their university."

On going to South Beach…

"My brothers down here, so I'll give him a call and he'll let me know where I need to be."
