Warming station open at Boutwell Auditorium

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

The Mayor's Office and the City of Birmingham will open Boutwell Auditorium as a warming station Wednesday-Saturday nights in anticipation of the freezing temperatures. The facility will open starting at 6:00 p.m. each evening.

Donations of deodorant, bars of soap and quart sized zip lock bags are needed, but any and all donations will be accepted at Boutwell Auditorium. Volunteers are encouraged to call the Office of Public Information at 254-2823.

Additional dates may be added as the weather is evaluated over the coming days.
