Oscar voters will get a little extra time to choose their nominees for the Academy Awards.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced it would extend the deadline to Friday at 5 p.m. Originally, voters were supposed have their ballots in by that time Thursday.
The Academy says it extended the deadline to make the transition to online voting a little easier.
Voters are still allowed to submit paper ballots.
The nominees are expected to be announced January 10th and the awards show is slated to air Sunday February 24th.
