Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners made their first appearance in the Dallas Metroplex for the 2013 Cotton Bowl. Sunday was Cotton Bowl media day at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Most of the guys were pretty amazed by the huge video board inside Jerry Jones stadium.
They are equally impressed with Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. Coach Stoops said the biggest thing that stands out about Manziel is the fact that the guy is a playmaker. He just makes plays and he can do it through the air or with his feet.
Oklahoma will see a familiar face on the other sideline when they take on the Aggies. Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin was an assistant for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma for five years. Coach Sumlin says he learned a lot from his time in Norman.
The Sooners and the Aggies have a few more days of preparation before they meet in the Cotton Bowl on January the 4th. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm.
