Update:

Robert Foster fought back tears as he announced his decision to commit to the University of Alabama. He becomes the highest rated wide receiver commitment for Nick Saban since the signing of Julio Jones in 2008.

Foster is the 20th commitment for Alabama's 2013 class.

-----------------------------------

Pennsylvania prep star Robert Foster is set to announce his commitment today to play college football at either the University of Alabama or Pittsburgh.

The five-star prospect from Monaca, Pa. must decide if he wants to play close to home for the Panthers or over 800 miles away in Tuscaloosa for a perennial BCS title contender in Alabama.

Many recruiting pundits believe the talented wideout is being torn in both directions, with his mother wanting him to stay nearby for college and his father wanting him suiting up for Nick Saban's widely-publicized Crimson Tide.

At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Foster has the physical size and natural ability to compete for early playing time at whichever school he chooses, and some thought that school would be Alabama following his second visit to the Capstone in October. But a visit to Pittsburgh in November seemed to sway the highly-touted prospect's favor and coaches from both schools have been in a dogfight for his signature ever since.

Linebacker coach Lance Thompson has been Foster's lead recruiter for the Crimson Tide, and is well-known for locking down top-ranked football prospects.

Tim Watts of 247Sports feels Thompson and the Tide have a 51 percent chance of landing the high school standout.

Foster will announce his decision at his high school, Central Valley High, at 1:30 p.m. You can watch it live below or by clicking here.

We'll keep you posted.
