State day of remembrance Friday at 9:30 in Montgomery

At 9:30 AM Friday morning Governor Robert Bentley will hold a day of remembrance at the State Capital. Governor Robert Bentley will join with other state and administration officials at a service to honor the 26 victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Governor Bentley encourages all Alabamians to observe a moment of silence at 9:30 AM. At the request of Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy, a bell will ring 26 times as a tribute to each life that was lost in the shooting one week ago.

Friday's ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. in front of the Connecticut flag in the Circle of Flags at the Alabama State Capitol.
