Police in northern Alabama have seized 75 pounds of marijuana and charged three people with drug trafficking. Authorities say police were called to a home in Boaz Tuesday night after receiving a call about a possible residential burglary. Officials say responding officers smelled marijuana when they arrived on the scene.
Police knocked on the door and say the smell became stronger when a 19-year-old woman opened the door. Police say the woman consented to a property search and officials found 75 pounds of marijuana stashed in a duffel bag inside the bedroom.
Officials say the woman and two Texas men in their 20s were taken into custody. Their identities have not yet been released.
