Felony burglary charges for Gadsden man arrested in Collinsville

Cody Jones has been arrested and charged with a theft related offense.

"Jones is charged with and one count of first degree theft of property and one count of third degree burglary, both are felonies," states Investigator Jason Argo.

Jones allegedly stole several pieces of construction equipment from a residence on Sand Valley Road on Saturday, December 15.

He was picked up on Sunday, December 16, by Collinsville Police Officer Jeremy Bell on a traffic stop. While making the traffic stop, Officer Bell noticed the items in the back of the pick-up truck Jones was driving.

All of the stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

Jones is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
