In the wake of the Connecticut shootings, many school systems are boosting security. This week, Trussville schools are on "partial lockdown".

This means that exterior doors will be locked, and principals will monitor class flows from exterior buildings to the main building. Officers will also be positioned at all school campuses.

Trussville has School Crisis Teams in place to answer questions from students, teachers, and parents.

The city recently reviewed individual school security plans.
