Chelsea, AL -

Shelby County Sheriff's deputies responded to Chelsea Middle School Friday to investigate a verbal threat made by a student that was directed at another student. The threat was made Thursday after the students left the campus.   The school was temporarily placed into lockdown while deputies searched the school and talked to the two students involved.  No weapons were discovered and the lockdown has been released.  Chelsea Middle School has returned to normal operations.

A deputy will remain at the school to further the investigation of the previous threat and ensure there are no further incidents.
