Man wanted for skinning dog alive

Gadsden Police are looking for 33-year old John Michael Smith. They want to question him about possible involvement in skinning a dog alive.

Sometime between the night of December 8th to the morning of December 9th, Skip, a 9-year old dachshund was taken from his chain and skinned alive. The dog's body was found in the alley behind 66 West Tuscaloosa Avenue in Gadsden.

John Michael Smith is a person of interest. If anyone has information on Mr. Smith's whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at (256) 549-4630.
