Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to a fire Tuesday at 2401 30th Street Ensley, which is near the corner of Avenue X in the Five-Points West area.

The structure on fire is reportedly abandoned.

Officials responded to the call around 5:15 p.m.

Captain Rod Dodson tells ABC 33/40 the fire could have been caused by an electrical issue.

Dodson says, at this time, the incident is not suspected to have been arson.

The investigation continues, he adds.

The house is located in an area where a string of arsons occurred last summer.
