Birmingham Police Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred Sunday night just after 11:00 at 3305 Avenue H. The victim has been identified as 19 year old Ryan Michael Jordan of Birmingham.

Precinct officers responded to the location to investigate a report of
a person shot. Officers arrived to find the victim lying inside the residence
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded
and pronounced the victim deceased. The shooter involved in the incident called
police and surrendered to officers. Homicide detectives are examining the
possibility that the victim may have been committing a robbery at the time of
the shooting.
