Person shot and killed early Sunday morning

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Birmingham Police says a person was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the 200 block of 2^nd Avenue Southwest just before 1:00 a.m. and found a person suffering from a gunshot wound on the sidewalk. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced the victim dead.

The person's identity has not been released, pending notification of immediate family.

No arrests have been made.
