A man charged in connection with the September death
of an Alabaster man has died while awaiting extradition to Shelby County. William
David Moore, 52, was found dead inside his home Thursday, September 20th,
2012. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be a homicide.
Moore's 2003 Hummer HU2 was located in Jackson,
Mississippi. Jackson law enforcement also located Lamario Brown, 30, of
Birmingham. Brown was taken into custody, where he was charged with Receiving
Stolen Property first degree by Jackson authorities. A murder warrant was
obtained by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, charging Brown with Moore's death.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office reports they were
notified Wednesday, December 5th that Brown had died from medical
complications while in Mississippi custody.
Shelby County Sheriff Chris Curry said, "Although we
will not see this case reach a conclusion through the Court, I am confident
that no one else was involved in Mr. Moore's death."
