The Brantley Bulldogs pitched a 33-0 shutout over defending champion Marion County to win the AHSAA Class 1A State Championship Wednesday afternoon at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The Bulldogs capped off an undefeated 15-0 season behind a three-touchdown performance from receiver O.J. Guice. Guice caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Andrew Lowery in the first half, and added a rushing score in the fourth quarter. He would finish with 146 total yards.
Marion County's high-scoring offense gained only 173 yards in the loss. They finish the season 13-2.
