The Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Birmingham is just around the corner on December 8th. This community event is a great way to kick off the holiday season by doing something fun for a good cause. The Birmingham event is presented by Red Diamond.
Volunteer organizers expect more than 1,700 runners and walkers to take part in Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Birmingham, which is in its 24th year. The festivities begin when registration opens at 7:00am at Underwood Park. Santa will warm up the crowd with exercises at 9:00am, and the kids' Santa Chase will happen at 9:15am. The 5K Run/Walk will start at 9:30am and the 1 mile fun run/walk rounds up the event at 10:30am. Junior Honoree William Wood will be leading off the race. The ten-year-old Birmingham boy was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis when he was seven.
