UAB and the American Red Cross are joining forces for the holidays.
A holiday blood drive will be held December 10th - 20th at UAB's North Pavilion and UAB Highlands Hospital.
The effort is being held because blood supplies usually diminish following the holidays because normal donation schedules are often disrupted. This drive will help keep the blood supply at an
appropriate level.
Hours at the
North Pavilion are:
- Monday, Dec. 10,
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Dec. 11,
10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, Dec.
12, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Thursday, Dec.
13, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 14,
7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec.
15, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Hours at UAB Highlands are:
- Tuesday, Dec.
18, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Wednesday, Dec.
19, 6:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m. –
5 p.m.
Donors will be
eligible for prize giveaways, including a DVD player and other electronic
devices, as well as $10 gift certificates to UAB-area businesses. Validated
parking is available at the Fourth Avenue parking deck for the North Pavilion
drive. Parking is free at UAB Highlands.
Donors should bring a photo ID.
