DEKALB COUNTY - AL -

DeKalb County Drug Task Force agents and Sheriff's Office investigators have made an arrest in a theft-for-drugs case.

Johnny Dewayne Croley, 36, faces several counts of receiving stolen property after investigators went to Croley's residence, located on County Road 3 in the Whiton community, and conducted a search.  Several items were seized after Croley admitted to taking them in exchange for methamphetamine.

Stolen property included power tools, a ZERO-turn lawn mower and drive on trailer, Bobcat loader with two attachments, a 2008 Chevrolet 3500 truck, two fuel tanks and 187 new cross-ties.  The total value of items is approximately $800,000.

Croley was out on bond for receiving stolen property charges in February.  That bond has been revoked.  He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center pending court action.
