Lottery players are flocking to stores in Georgia to purchase tickets for Wednesday night's drawing of the record $550 million Powerball jackpot.
An official at the office of the Georgia Lottery released Wednesday's ticket sales numbers from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. (EST), showing a whopping $10,538,110 worth of tickets sold. In just one hour, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Georgia Lottery reportedly sold $1,775,930 worth of tickets.
