Chef Scott's Braised Beef Brisket

  • 5-7lb Brisket
  • 2 Medium Yellow Onions
  • 2oz Chopped Garlic
  • 2oz Fresh Rosemary
  • 2tblsp Kosher Salt
  • 1tblsp Coarse Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 Cups of Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil



Season brisket well with salt & pepper. In a large sauté pan heat oil to medium high heat and slowly add brisket to hot oil fat side down first. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove from sauté pan & place in a deep roasting pan and add rosemary, beef broth,  apple cider, garlic & onions. Cover with foil and cook on 350degrees for 3 ½ hours.
