Crime Stoppers November 27: Armed robbery in Birmingham's Southside community

ARMED ROBBERY IN BIRMINGHAM'S SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY:

Crime Stoppers needs your help locating two suspects wanted for an armed robbery in Birmingham's Southside community. They targeted a UAB student walking to a friend's apartment.

It happened Monday, November 5th around 7:40 pm on the corner of 15th Avenue South and 15th Street South. The suspects' pictures are posted to the right of this story.

Police said one of the suspects stole the victim's purse, and another one used her credit cards at two gas stations. One of the suspects attempted to use it at a nearby Hibbet Sports, but the credit card was declined.

"It's coming up on the Christmas holiday, and these guys know that people are going to be out there with credit cards and cash," said Birmingham Detective Pat Green. "They're going to be looking to cash in on some of these unsuspecting victims."
