AJ McCarron threw three touchdown passes, Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon combined for three rushing touchdowns as No. 2 Alabama has roared out to a 42-0 halftime lead over Auburn in the Iron Bowl.

The Crimson Tide used two 10-play scoring drives in the first quarter to jump on top of the Tigers 14-0 early. Both drives ended with 2-yard touchdown runs by Lacy and Yeldon respectively. Lacy eclipsed the century mark rushing during Alabama's fifth scoring drive of the half, which ended on a 1-yard touchdown run by the junior from Louisiana. He has rushed for 111 yards on 14 carries and two touchdown in the game.

Two of McCarron's three touchdown strikes were caught by wideout Amari Cooper, who now has eight touchdowns on the year.  The freshman has 45 catches for 767 yards in his first season at the Capstone. He needs just 13 more catches and 157 yards to break Julio Jones freshman receiving record set in 2008 -- 58 receptions, 924 yards.

McCarron is 13 of 18 passing for 175 yards.

Receiver Kenny Bell injured his left ankle in the game, and was taken to the lockerrom immediatley. He will not return.

The Auburn offense is once again struggling to move the ball, and they had two turnovers in the first half. As head coach Gene Chizik headed to the lockerrom, he was asked what he was going to say to his team.

"We're going to just keep fighting. [Alabama] is a very good football team." Chizik said. "We've had our chances, but right now we haven't really made any plays on either side of the ball. We've gotta just keep fighting."

Auburn has 99 yards of total offense and has given up 328 yards to Alabama.
