No. 8 LSU can keep their BCS bowl hopes alive with a win over Arkansas in Little Rock on Friday. The Tigers (9-2, 5-2) are still in contention for a possible SEC Championship berth, but they need a lot of help to get to Atlanta.
Les Miles' needs to get past Arkansas, an Alabama loss to Auburn and a Texas
A&M win over Missouri to setup a rematch of the 2011 conference title game with Georgia. LSU won the SEC last year after cruising past the Bulldogs 42-10 in the Georgia Dome.
Meanwhile, the Razorbacks (4-7, 2-5), led by temporary head coach John L. Smith, will attempt to end a dissapointing season on a high note. Smith will likely be coaching his last game at Arkansas after signing a 9-month contract following the firing of Bobby Petrino earlier this year.
Both LSU and Arkansas began the season with lofty expectations, with some even projecting the Hogs as serious BCS title contenders, while others penciled the Tigers in as the next team from the SEC to take home the crystal ball.
Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. and will be televised by CBS.
