Chilton county commission votes to help hospital

CLANTON - AL -

Help is on the way for Chilton County's only hospital. At a meeting Monday night, November 19th, the county commission voted to give $960,000 to the county hospital board.

The money will be used in an effort to re-open Chilton Medical Center. The hospital closed last month after its owners failed to meet payroll.

It was Chilton County's only hospital. The closest other hospitals are more than 30 miles away.
