If you purchased a birthday cake from Publix in the last week, be aware. The grocery store chain is recalling about 45 cake products over, possible listeria contamination.  They were sold in several Florida stores between November 11 And November 15.  So, what is being recalled?  The seven-inch chocolate layer cake used to make the desserts.

The grocer stated on their website that they are doing the recall "out of an abundance of precaution."  Publix says it received notification of the contamination from their supplier, Maplehurst.

No illnesses have been reported, but the company is issuing the recall as a precaution. You can return it for a full refund.  Publix customers with additional questions may call their Customer Care Center at 1-800-242-1227 or visit our website at www.publix.com.
