Workers evacuated a Sapulpa glass plant early Monday morning.
Around 4:30 a.m., crews responded to a fire at the Verallia glass plant in Sapulpa. The plant is located near I-44 and State Highway 66, just southwest of Tulsa.
Tulsa's Channel 8's Kim Jackson was at the scene where she was told the fire was caused by a piece of equipment that caught on fire. She said there was oil inside the equipment which then caused the building to fill up with heavy smoke.
Sapulpa firefighters are continuing their investigation into what caused the plant to catch fire.
KTUL.com will have more information as we receive it.
