Governor to Participate in Launch of Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign

Posted: Updated:

Governor Robert Bentley will join with officials from the Montgomery Salvation Army to launch the local chapter's 2012 Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.

The Montgomery Salvation Army has been serving the River Region since 1899.  In addition to providing emergency shelter, food, clothing and day-to-day assistance, the Salvation Army also ministers to the spiritual needs of people throughout the area.

This year's Christmas Kettle Campaign will raise funds to sustain Salvation Army services during the Christmas season and beyond.  Monday's news conference launching the campaign will begin at 11:00 a.m. on the steps of the State Capitol.
