Bass Pro Shops debuts new mobile fishing app

Posted: Updated:

Following the success Bass Pro Shops®: The Hunt - King of Bucks and Bass Pro Shops® MyGuide:  Hunt apps, Outdoor Partners announces a new app for Apple devices now available on iTunes—Bass Pro Shops®: The Strike - Pro Angler.

Hit the lakes from Apple devices with Bass Pro Shops®: The Strike - Pro Angler and you could be reeling in the lunkers and competing against your friends for the biggest trophies from anywhere.  The game is action packed, with some of America's hottest fishing spots, your favorite Bass Pro Shops fishing equipment, and a dozen of the best tournament fish species in a fun and easy-to-play format.   Game play includes an above and below water camera view, touch and accelerometer control for precision casting, setting the hook, reeling, and intense fish fights plus weekly automated tournaments coming soon.

"We are excited to be expanding out offerings in the mobile space with an addicting fishing app created specifically for the mobile player. It feels like you are reeling fishing when you use the accelerometer built in your phone to cast and jig your lure. It's just like real fishing! Now you can fish anywhere, anytime, anyplace. No matter the time of year," said Chip Pedersen, President of Outdoor Partners.
