I 65 paving near AL 25 in Shelby County starts Wednesday evening

Shelby County, AL -

The Alabama Department of Transportation has lane closures scheduled on Interstate 65 northbound from one mile south of the AL 25 interchange to one mile north of the interchange at various times to perform paving work in Shelby County.

Weather permitting the paving is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM Wednesday night until 5:00 AM Thursday morning. The same procedure will be followed Thursday night into Friday morning.

Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama's roadways.
