As a defensive lineman one of the biggest thrills is picking the ball up off the turf or snatching it out of the air and running it in for a touchdown.
Jenks product Cory Dorris got to experience his first interception Saturday against Houston and nothing was going to stop him from reaching the endzone.
The Golden Hurricane's all-time interception leader Dextor McCoil was pretty impressed with Dorris' athletic prowess.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was pretty impressed with the athletic ability." Dextor McCoil said, "He shed the tackle and carried the ball like a ball carrier. Has you could see our whole defense was going to celebrate because that's big. Anytime we get am interception or a turnover that's big."
The Golden Hurricane can win the West Division title and earn the honor of hosting the Conference USA Championship game with a win Saturday over Central Florida. The kickoff is set for 11:00am.
