Your Health 11-12-12 Spice allergies and your Thanksgiving meal

Thanksgiving is a week and a half away.  Have you made dinner plans yet?

Before you decide to spice up your meal, you may want to think again.  While spices can spruce up the taste, they may be a threat for someone digging in during the feast.

According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, two percent of all food allergies can be blamed on spices.

There is no test to determine if someone has a spice allergy.  So, most people who are allergic have no idea.

The best way to prevent an allergy attack at your Thanksgiving meal, steer clear from adding spices to the spread.
