Devil mask wearing suspect formally charged

JEFFERSON COUNTY - AL -

A Blount County man, accused of committing several robberies while wearing a devil mask, has been formally charged.

Jamey Lee Matthews has been charged with robberies in the city 0of Birmingham, Jefferson County and Blount County. The 38-year-old is also charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

He's currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a $450,000 bond.
