Rep. Mike Rogers has won his 6th term in Washington D.C.
represent U.S. House District 3 of Alabama. The Calhoun County republican beat
democratic challenger John Andrew Harris convincingly. It was not a big
surprise in the heavily republican district in east Alabama.
Rep. Rogers says he expect to have a high profile role in the new
congress. One of his top priorities will be protecting military jobs he
believes could be at risk in the district. The congressman says he hopes
President Barack Obama will work with the GOP controlled house on the
economy and national defense.
"We're going to do our best to work with him, if he wants to work with us," said Rogers" people want compromise"
