A week of special ceremonies to honor veterans in Hoover began Sunday.
In Hoover, veterans from all branches were honored in a musical tribute and recognized for their sacrifice at a special reception at the Hoover Public Library. The library will host other events including showings of a Vietnam War movie on Monday and a World War II program Thursday.
Hoover scout troops will also remember veterans at 4:45 p.m. every day from Monday through Friday with a flag folding ceremony.
Children can also stop by to make crafts for veterans at the VA Medical Center Monday through Thursday and on Saturday.
