Pell City, AL -

Governor Robert Bentley joined with the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs and other state and local leaders Wednesday to dedicate the new Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home in Pell City.

The new home is equipped to serve veterans who need skilled care as well as veterans who have a greater level of independence.  The home offers a community-type setting for veterans.  Private rooms are located near a common dining and living area, a town center area and more.  The home also includes a Hall of Honor paying tribute to the nation's service members.
