More than 10 fraternity members accused of hazing several Jacksonville State University students have been indicted by a Grand Jury.

The alleged hazing took place off campus nearly a year ago.  Alpha phi alpha has since been removed from campus.

District attorney Brian McVeigh says students were beaten with a fist and a paddle. Two were sent to the hospital.

McVeigh says charges range from the misdemeanor of hazing all the way up to assault in the first degree.

Today McVeigh met with all the fraternity and sorority presidents to go over the hazing law.
