UAB remains winless in C-USA after 55-45 loss to Tulane

In a high-scoring affair, the UAB Blazers fell on the road in a Conference USA game to Tulane, 55-45.

As expected, both teams' defenses continued to struggle on Saturday in New Orleans and there was a combined 1,241 yards of total offense in the game as well as seven turnovers.

UAB racked up 622 total yards while Tulane (2-6, 2-2) and their last-ranked offense in FBS nearly matched them with 619. 

Blazers quarterback Austin Brown threw for three touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions in the loss.  He finished the day 26-of-52 for 409 yards.

Running back Darrin Reaves had a huge game on the ground for the Blazers, rushing for 166 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns.  But his stellar day wasn't enough and his team remains winless in the conference.

The star of the game was Tulane quarterback Ryan Griffin who efficiently torched the UAB secondary for five touchdowns and 466 yards, and had only eight incompletions in his 42 attempts.

UAB moves to 1-7, 0-4 on the year and will travel again next week to play Southern Miss.
