Economy contributes to aging workforce

Experts say many seniors have delayed retirements or re-entered the job market because of their economic situations. According to a recent report by U.S. News and World Report, one group of seniors, ages 65 and older are working more than ever. In fact, in 1987 only 10.7 percent of that grouped worked, now nearly 18 percent participates in the workforce.

The economy isn't the only factor. Some experts say people are healthier and living longer, thus choosing to stay on the job.
