Tom cruise is suing the publisher of Life and Style magazine for 50 million dollars for making false allegations about his parenting.
Cruise's lawyers say the publishers ran stories claiming the actor "abandoned" his daughter Suri.
His legal team calls the magazine "serial defamers" and the articles "reprehensible ."
the articles in question ran around the time Cruise and ex-wife, Katie Holmes, were going through their divorce.
representatives for Life and Style magazine said they have no comment about the suit.
