Woodlawn High closed for the weekend after ruptured gas line

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

Woodlawn High School released students early on Thursday after construction workers accidentally ruptured a gas line located near the campus.

Some students were taken home on buses while others had to be picked up by their parents, family or friends.

Alagasco is working to repair the line.

A school official said classes will not resume for students until Monday due to a regularly scheduled teacher work-day on Friday.
