Autopsy scheduled for fetus that was cut from mother's womb

LIVINGSTON PARISH - LA -

An autopsy was scheduled today for a fetus, cut from its mother's womb on Tuesday.

The mother's husband, 31-year old Jeffery Reynolds, is charged with feticide and attempted murder. He's being held on a $500 million bond.

Livingston Parish, Louisiana deputies say Reynolds stabbed his pregnant wife, cutting the unborn child from her body. The fetus later died; however, the mother remains in a hospital in stable condition.

Neighbors say when Reynolds was arrested, he seemed incoherent and was howling like an animal. Investigators do not yet have a motive for the crime.
