The Internal Revenue Service and a local partner
organization need volunteers to help provide tax help for lower income filers. The Holy Family Social Justice Committee is seeking
volunteers to staff tax help sites in the Birmingham area. Contact Richard

Volunteers prepare simple tax returns for people whose
incomes are $50,000 or less. Training starts soon, and volunteers are trained in class, online, and through self-study. They are then tested. Once certified,
volunteers spend as little as three or four hours per week volunteering between
the months of February and April.
