Tuscaloosa police charge suspect in fatal hit & run

Tuscaloosa police have charged a suspect in connection with a fatal hit & run.

Police had released surveillance videos of the truck involved in the Sunday night accident that killed Fred Lee Townsel. Tuesday morning, Christopher Phillip Marcum turned himself in. It happened after Marcum's recognized a truck in the images. He then contacted investigators, saying marcum had taken the truck without permission.

Marcum is now charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. He could face further charges after a grand jury review.
