The Birmingham Police Department reports that an ongoing Bait House operation has resulted in multiple arrests.
The Department's Burglary Unit, in conjunction with the Field Operations Bureau, has conducted the operation over the past eight months in various parts of the Birmingham area, utilizing homes, apartments and businesses.
In the past month, a total of seven suspects have been arrested in the locations set for surveillance by police. A majority of those suspects have been arrested in the process of committing the burglary, while others were identified from surveillance video and later taken into custody.
The operation will continue to move to different locations throughout the Birmingham area.
